Wednesday Kid's Mindfulness Challenge - Test those Advanced Ninja Skills!

Kids who have explored building self control and focus in Be a Ninja and Ninja School 2 are now ready for our latest and final Ninja installment: Ninja School 3. In this advanced story, they can test out their new Ninja powers and practice feeling dignified and in control - even when things get emotionally tricky!

Can they move & feel… and then simply NOTICE? Can they stop on a dime when Jeff says "Stop!" (or do they keep running around like a chicken without a head)? They will step inside our virtual reality imagination simulator, and explore how to stay cool in situations that usually make us feel mad, sad or frustrated…

Take the extreme Ninja challenge with ‘Ninja School 3’. Designed especially for kids aged 6-10.

As creator and leading mindfulness expert Jeff Warren notes, in this advanced Creative Mind Journey:

Let’s imagine a situation where you feel hurt. Can you feel what that feels like? [Sometimes] I feel so sad and I can feel it in my throat… other times I feel mad in my face. Or my heart might hurt. Or my stomach is all crumped up. Can you feel that? Just feel how that feels; it feels different for everyone. And normally these feelings make us feel uncomfortable…. so now let’s do this as a Ninja. The person will still say that thing that hurt us… but a Ninja responds in a way that’s really smart… they act in a way that we call ‘Dignified’… It’s a way that you carry yourself. You have a SMOOTH INTELLIGENCE….

This story builds: self-control, emotional resilience and maturity, inner calm, anxiety relief, self-respect.

INVITATION - WORK THIS JOURNEY INTO WEDNESDAY’S SUMMER HOLIDAY:

Finally, mindfulness training that’s actually fun for kids! We invite you to clear some space (where kids can move and also be still), and line up this 12 minute journey for a Wednesday summer break activity. This story is all about putting the awesome Ninja skills of focus and equanimity to the test. At the end, kids hone a key Ninja superpower - the ancient art of self-control - even when difficult feelings try to hijack the scene!
